It’s Eat What You Want Day!

Today is national “Eat want you want day”,  and we want breakfast for dinner.
Here is  our recipe for Breakfast Pizza because we can eat what we want and so can you.

Breakfast Pizza

Servings: 10 ind. Pizza

For the Dough

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons or 1 envelope of fast rising yeast
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup very warm water (105-115 degrees)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Ingredients for Pizza Sauce

  • 1 can tomato sauce (14.5 OZ)
  • 1 can tomato paste (4 OZ)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Ingredients for Toppings

  • 10 each eggs
  • 1 bunch spinach , sliced thin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/2 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 Cup minced chives

Sauce:

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. First start with the tomato paste and sauce, smooshing and pushing it together until well blended.
  3. Add Garlic, Sugar and Italian seasoning, and stir.

Pizza Dough

  1. Fill liquid measuring cup with 1 cup hot water- should be at 120 degrees.
  2. Place yeast, and honey in water and stir.  Let the yeast mixture sit for 3-5 minutes until it has reached a 1 inch head of foam.
  3. Pour yeast/water mixture into a bowl with flour.
  4. Stir with spoon until shaggy.
  5. With hands, Knead and work dough until all ingredients have come together.
  6. Take dough out of bowl, and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  7. Place dough in an oiled bowl.
  8. Cover bowl with warm wet towel and set aside for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  9. To form dough press the dough with your fingertips from the center to the edge.  Keep hand flat on dough as you rotate it.
  10. Stretch the dough out to desired thickness.

For the Toppings:

  1. Combine the Olive oil, garlic, and italian seasonings in a smal bowl. Divide and spread over tyhe 10 individual pizzas.
  2. Divide and pour the tomato sauce over dough.
  3. Sprinkle cheese, minced chives, and spinach over the sauce.
  4. Crack an egg on each pizza. season with salt and pepper
  5. Bake in oven at 425 degrees for 8-10 minutes, or until crust is a golden brown, and cheese is bubbly and slightly brown.
