While things may look a little different, we can’t wait to have you join us in the kitchen for cooking classes, camps, parties, corporate events & more! Our current protocols regarding Covid-19 and how our classes/events work are listed below for you to check out. We have also been working hard continuing to offer kits for pick up and virtual event options if joining us in person is not yet the best choice for you/your family.

How We’re Handling Events/Classes
In addition to following the protocol listed above, here are some of the changes we’ve made to our events and cooking classes to ensure the safety and health of both our guests and our staff.
Kids Birthday Parties
We are individualizing as many projects as possible for each party menu to reduce the number of kids handling each other’s food. Rather than being at one large table together, the kids will have their own socially distanced table to cook and eat at. The tables will be in a half-circle shape so that the kids can all still see each other, interact with each other and the Way Cool Chef, and celebrate the birthday child. We will still sing happy birthday and serve either cake or the kids can eat their cupcakes that they make.
We are doing everything we can to make your child’s birthday party as awesome and fun as possible! (Even if our new normal looks a little different for now.) Below you can see what our socially distanced parties look like, customized to the party theme you choose.
Our class sizes will be at a reduced capacity which ends of being about12-14 people per class or 6 families for our family classes. We are individualizing as many of the cooking projects in each class as possible. Any food that is being prepared for the entire class will be handled by the Way Cool Chefs hosting the class. Each family, couple or person attending the class will have their own area to prepare food and eat. If non-disposable dishes are used they well be cleaned and sanitized properly by Way Cool staff. We will also have additional cleaning procedures as stated above.
We are officially going forward with our 2021 Summer Camp Program! We have implemented additional screening procedures at check in for camp, including a thermal scanner to take temperatures of both kids and the adults dropping them off. We are functioning at reduced capacity for our camps between our two kitchen spaces. Kids will be working in small groups and stay with that same group all week. Our policy on face masks for our 2021 summer camp program will be determined at a date closer to the start of our camp season. The policy will be based on the most current guidelines in place by the CDC and the MN Government at that time. We are individualizing the food preparation as much as possible and if not possible then limiting the food handling to the small group they will be with or the Way Cool Chefs leading their group.
Corporate Team Building Events
What better time to get your team together than after you been working separately from home for months? Time for a much needed experience together! Currently we are limiting our group sizes for corporate events to a maximum of 25 people (*subject to change as CDC restrictions change over time). We have two kitchen spaces that we can socially distance in to accommodate your group. We also have virtual experiences that your team can do from home! See Virtual Event Options
Private Events/Bachelorette Parties, Etc.
As weddings, birthday celebrations and other group gatherings have been pushed back the last few months, we would love to help you plan your private event! Currently we are limiting our group sizes for private events to a maximum of 25 people (*subject to change as CDC restrictions change over time). We have two kitchen spaces that we can socially distance in to accommodate your group. We also are offering virtual events where you can gather from your own homes! See Virtual Event Options
