Individual Apple Crisps
It’s National Apple Day! Use up your apples from the apple orchard and celebrate in the kitchen with us making individual apple crisps, topped off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the perfect fall dessert.
Individual Apple Crisps (30 Minutes)
Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and diced
- Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, toss the sliced apples with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Divide the mixture among four ramekins.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, and diced cold butter. Use your fingers to incorporate until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples in the ramekins.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Allow the apple crisps to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
