Summer Snack Bucket Recipes

Buckets of Fun ~ Four Easy Snack Buckets Kids Can Make
Note: Use clean 12–16 oz clear sand pails or clear plastic cups so the colorful layers show through.

Banana Beach Bucket
Makes 1 Bucket
Ingredients
- 6 vanilla wafer cookies, crushed
- ½ banana, sliced
- ½ cup prepared vanilla pudding
- ¼ cup whipped topping
- Optional: vanilla wafer or banana slice for garnish
Directions
Sprinkle half of the crushed vanilla wafers into the bottom of the bucket.
Add a layer of banana slices. Spoon in half of the vanilla pudding. Repeat the layers with the remaining wafers, bananas, and pudding.
Top with a swirl of whipped topping. Garnish with a vanilla wafer or banana slice.
Chef Tip: Refrigerate until ready to serve for the best texture.
Dino Dig Bucket
Makes 1 Bucket
Ingredients
- 6 Oreo cookies, crushed
- ½ cup prepared chocolate pudding
- 4–6 small dinosaur gummies or candy dinosaurs
- Optional: gummy worms
Directions
Spoon a layer of crushed Oreos into the bottom of the bucket.
Add half of the chocolate pudding. Repeat with another layer of Oreos and the remaining pudding. Finish with a generous layer of crushed Oreos to create “dirt.” Decorate with dinosaur candies (and gummy worms, if using).
Chef Tip: Hide a dinosaur in the middle layer so kids can “excavate” it while they eat!
Ocean Splash Bucket
Makes 1 Bucket
Ingredients
- ¾ cup prepared blue gelatin (set and cut into cubes)
- Swedish Fish candies
- Whipped topping (optional, for ocean waves)
Directions
Fill the bucket with blue gelatin cubes.
Tuck Swedish Fish candies throughout the gelatin so they look like they’re swimming.
Add a small dollop of whipped topping on top for “ocean waves,” if desired. Serve chilled.
Chef Tip: Make the gelatin the day before so it’s fully set and easy to cube.
Garden Veggie Bucket
Makes 1 Bucket
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup hummus
- Cucumber slices
- Carrot sticks
- Celery sticks
- Bell pepper strips
- Snap peas
- Pita crackers or pita chips
Directions
Spread the hummus into the bottom of the bucket.
Arrange the vegetables standing upright around the edge of the bucket to create a colorful “garden.” Tuck pita crackers or pita chips into one side.
Serve immediately or keep chilled until ready to enjoy.
Chef Tip: Use vegetables of different colors to make your garden bloom!
