The Way Cool Cooking School Inc. offers an off-site cooking program to schools in the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area. The program takes a hands-on approach to food education, emphasizing cooking skills as much as nutritional values. With the school programs, young chefs learn how to slice, dice and chop as they make healthy meals to share together.
The curriculum, which incorporates creativity, math, science, and life skills, also teaches nutrition and healthy eating habits during our variety of available programming. The Way Cool Cooking School has been working with nearly 5,000 students a year and is excited to extend their reach to educate the community about cooking and nutrition further throughout the twin cities.
Our classes teach fundamental skills for a lifetime of great cooking and allow children to prepare hands-on cooking projects that encourage interaction with classmates while learning about cooking and nutrition.
Facility Requirements: electrical, water, tables, chairs, and preferably access to kitchen or FACS room to conduct classes, and an onsite assistant is required for all classes. (alternative options available for facilities
