Cooking lessons are lessons for life…. Family time and dinnertime have changed dramatically over the last 30 years. At the WAY-COOL Cooking School™, we want to bring families together in the kitchen again. By teaching children and adults quick meal solutions, healthy alternatives, and increasing the comfort level of families in the kitchen, we believe will help create stronger healthier families. Dinnertime is the perfect time to share responsibilities, communicate with each other, and be creative.Learning to cook at the WAY-COOL Cooking School™, Inc. is an exciting culinary journey beginning with the basics, from proper kitchen procedures, the reading of recipes and food labels to learning good nutrition. Learning has never tasted so good! The WAY-COOL Cooking School™, Inc. builds upon fundamental cooking skills that help to prepare each student for a life long love of food and teaches skills they will use the rest of their lives. Our Vision To create a space and learning environment that is fun-filled, friendly and inviting to both children and adults. Our goal will be to get families excited about spending time together in the kitchen. Cooking as a family is important, and we will teach basic healthy cooking skills and habits for children and parents to use in today's hectic society. Our Location Our facility in Eden Prairie is located at the intersection of Highway 5 and Eden Prairie Road in the Prairie Village Mall. Other tenants you may be familiar with in the mall are Snyder's and Kowalski's Market. We have 2 full kitchens, and enough space for nearly any sized party from the intimate to the extraordinary!

Cooking as a child is one of my fondest memories. I grew up learning to cook standing at my grandmother's side in her small town café. Those experiences helped shape the person I am today and ignited my passion for cooking. For the past 15 years I have been working with restaurants and food manufacturers in sales and marketing. As much as I enjoyed that, I have always dreamed of starting my own business. I am a wife, a mother of two wonderful daughters, and a passionate individual who loves teaching others. I believe the WAY-COOL Cooking School™ is the perfect way to incorporate my experience in foodservice, passion for food and love for teaching! With today's concerns about obesity among children and adults, it's more important than ever to learn healthy cooking habits at a young age. As a parent myself, I see all of us taking our children to piano lessons, dance lessons, soccer practice, karate lessons, gymnastics, and so on. While all these lessons are great, and add to the development of our children, I see cooking lessons as a life long skill that can ignite their creativity, build their self-esteem, help with their math skills, prepare them for babysitting and parenting, and most importantly build family values and memories that will last forever.
